Southwestern Advantage has successfully launched its 154th season of building character in young people through the summer sales and leadership season. Despite the continued challenges of many campuses being closed, and travel bans remaining in place from Europe, the Sales Leaders and internal teams have taken “Find a Way!” to even higher levels, and there will be more students selling in the U.S. and Canada this summer than last year.
The lessons from 2020 included incorporating the valuable process of remote selling via Zoom into our pre-knocking sales training plan. And although space and distancing constraints required the first two Nashville sales schools to be held off our property, we were delighted to welcome students back to Landers Plaza on May 23!
Sales production is off to a great start – double-digit increase in sales so far — with both first-year and experienced average sales higher than last year by significant margins. In addition to hundreds of dealers selling across the U.S. and Canada, about 200 dealers will again be selling in the United Kingdom. This entailed traversing yet another learning curve; last summer, the UK was part of the European Union, but since Brexit, a new set of regulatory challenges arose. Working closely with our internal finance and sales support teams, the European sales leadership has also “found a way.”
Thanks to all the leaders, team members, SWFC colleagues, alumni – and especially “Mrs. Jones”!
