NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 23, 2018 – Southwestern Fundraising (formerly Great American Opportunties), a member of the Southwestern Family of Companies, announces its acquisition of City Saver, the creator of the popular City Saver fundraiser coupon book. The coupon book will enter select markets this fall before becoming available in all markets in the United States and Canada in the next few years.
Since 1975, Southwestern Fundraising has remained dedicated to helping kids fundraise, having assisted schools and organizations to raise over $5.5 billion through magazine, cookie dough, quality gift brochure and discount card fundraisers. The addition of the City Saver discount book to the company’s current range of products is expected to further drive the success of fundraising campaigns.
Considered among the top-selling discount book companies nationwide, City Saver’s product offers substantive discounts from reputable, sought-after merchants in highly localized areas. The book offers over 300 pages of coupons worth thousands of dollars, and buyers also have access to a free mobile app, making it easy to redeem coupons without carrying the book with them.
“City Saver’s product is completely different from any other discount coupon book, and our customers are already genuinely excited to have it available,” says Aaron Lynn, President of Southwestern Fundraising. “Our sales representatives look forward to this new product that offers added value to fundraising schools and organizations while also strengthening community ties between the fundraisers and merchants included in the book.”
City Saver CEO Tom Beach and Vice President Jerry Vaughn officially joined the Southwestern Fundraising staff on July 2. Additionally, Matt Allen, VP of Sales Operations Integration, will be partnering with Beach and working closely with SWF representatives to successfully integrate the City Saver program into all markets. Jade Roper will serve as SWF City Saver Merchant Trainer and partner with Vaughn to provide training materials, resources and training calls for merchant representatives.
“When my wife Kristin and I started City Saver 15 years ago, we had a dream of growing it across the country and joining forces with Southwestern Fundraising makes that dream come true,” says Tom Beach, CEO of City Saver. “I am so excited that our product will continue to help schools and organizations raise money and help people save money all over the nation.”
