Southwestern Coaching enjoyed a safe and successful return to in-person training for the first Border Bash of 2021. Taking place at the historic Brown Palace Hotel and Spa in Denver, attendees enjoyed a welcome reception of food, drinks, and live music before the full day of training.
Border Bash events offer all coaches—from rookies to veterans—the opportunity to receive strategic knowledge from top producers, inspiration from leadership, and camaraderie through group training and recreational activities. The day’s agenda began with an inspiring presentation from Dustin Hillis on personal ownership and accountability.
“The only way you can manifest a better reality for your future is by thinking big.”
— Dustin Hillis
Southwestern coaches Dave Brown, David Linsmeyer, Gena Parker, Dana Potthoff, and Elizabeth Mahusay led sessions on insightful topics, including setting workshops and systems for success, solidifying virtual workshops, and maximizing momentum. Coaches enjoyed a breakout session that included live dialing, immediately implementing many of the tools and strategies discussed. The afternoon featured guest speakers Amy and Ryan Groom and Shane Blick of Southwestern Advantage sharing tips on time management and how to coach people as a leader in today’s world. The day of training was rounded out with a final session led by Ron Alford challenging attendees to evaluate their own progress and hold themselves accountable for achieving their goals.
“The things I resist the most in life are what cause me the most pain and suffering. Accepting what is and taking personal accountability for my life creates peace and freedom.”
— Ron Alford
Following this day of amazing training, team members traveled to picturesque Keystone to experience a weekend of fun on the slopes, team meals, and group outings.
We look forward to the next opportunity to gather with the fantastic people that make our company a success. It is always inspiring to come together as we continually work to keep our activities aligned with our mission—to help achieve their goals in life—both for our clients and our team members.
