SOUTHWESTERN FAMILY OF COMPANIES WELCOMES BEN HUDDLESTON AS GENERAL COUNSEL AND MIKE SCHOLES AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Ben Huddleston has joined Southwestern Family of Companies as General Counsel. As in-house counsel, Huddleston will provide management and oversight of the legal activities for the entire family of companies.
“Ben brings with him more than 25 years of experience as a well-respected attorney, and we are very excited to have him as part of our team at Southwestern Family of Companies,” said Dustin Hillis, CEO of Southwestern Family of Companies. “Ben plays a strategic role as we move towards our goal of growing the company to 200 businesses by 2048.”
Prior to joining Southwestern, Huddleston held leadership roles at some of Middle Tennessee’s largest companies, including Quorum Health Corporation, Community Health Systems, DaVita, Inc., and Waller, LLP. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Huddleston earned a law degree from The University of Tennessee College of Law.
Also joining the Southwestern Family of Companies’ leadership team is Mike Scholes as Chief Operating Officer, a newly-created position.
As a seasoned domestic and foreign service senior general officer and executive with over 36 years of experience, Mike led large national and international organizations as a Brigadier General in the United States Army.
Mike is skilled in government relations and operations, strategic planning, organizational development, budget management, strategic communications, project/program management, information management, and complex problem solving. He will be responsible for supporting the alignment and prioritization of the company’s efforts and ensuring operational excellence across the family of companies.
What we appreciate about Mike the most, in selecting him as the COO, is his ability to connect and form relationships with people to accomplish goals. We believe that Mike’s leadership will fill the organizational need that we have as a Family of Companies to align our systems and efforts together to work towards building people and positively impacting communities worldwide.
