Founded around the same time as Southwestern, United Way was established in 1887 with the mission of improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world. Since then, United Way has been fighting for the health, education, and financial stability of each person in every community through campaigns that have saved thousands of lives worldwide. With 2.8 million volunteers and 9.8 million donors, United Way continues to take action by empowering and impact over 61 million lives per year. With the help of Southwestern Family of Companies, this foundation can continue creating genuine social change and advancing the common good on a global scale.
As the time for Southwestern’s United Way Campaign nears, you are faced with a unique opportunity to support the community-wide issues that are most important to you.
Southwestern Family of Companies and United Way have a rich history of partnership in helping the Metro Nashville Community and communities beyond. Along with volunteering at various community service events around the city, Southwestern holds an annual campaign encouraging individuals to make a tax-deductible pledge toward supporting the continual efforts of United Way. This campaign will begin on October 14, 2019.
With your donation, you will receive tickets that represent an opportunity to win unique prizes. Past prizes have included Nashville Predators tickets and even a weekend lake getaway. Tickets will be drawn at the annual Halloween chili and soup cook-off hosted in the atrium of Southwestern. For only $5, attendees can enjoy an all-you-can-eat meal while supporting the mission of United Way.
