Southwestern Family,
The first 9 months of being your CEO have been exhilarating, energizing, and challenging all at the same time. Seventeen years ago when I first decided to be part of Southwestern Family of Companies, one of the things that attracted me to Southwestern Advantage was the challenge. I’m thankful for the challenges because through them I am able to grow.
Something you can hold me accountable to as your CEO is constantly learning and growing. I will never feel like “I’ve figured it all out” or “I’ve arrived.” My commitment to you is that I will always be pushing, challenging, and innovating to be the best possible CEO I can be with the gifts and talents God has given me.
Hopefully, we can all commit to this idea. As a family of companies, we commit to the principle of doing what is right, constantly learning and growing, and, most important, making the decision that no matter the circumstances we never give up.
Over the past 9 months, we have delivered a corporate rebrand, updated the new company website (www.southwestern.com), started 6 new companies, relaunched our fundraising business, and made some hard decisions to improve our cash position and poise us for growth in 2019. One of our corporate initiatives this year is to increase communications across the family of companies. I hope you enjoy this month’s edition of the “Southwestern Family of Companies Good News Letter”.
Thank you for what you do every day to make Southwestern Family of Companies the best company in the world. Thank you for your support, faith, and dedication. Let’s make 2019 the best year in our 164-year history!
