Southwestern Family of Companies has announced the promotion of Beth Jackson to vice president and corporate controller. Jackson will oversee the accounting department and lead payroll, accounts payable, tax, audit, budget, general ledger, consolidated financial reporting, cash management and staffing functions. She will also work in tandem with Southwestern’s new business development team, developing the accounting staff to support new businesses.
Jackson joined Southwestern in 1996 and has since assisted with the implementation of SAP, the software system used for accounting and reporting. Jackson graduated from Austin Peay State University in 1986.
“A dedicated, hardworking member of the Southwestern Family of Companies, Jackson has risen through progressive promotions from senior accountant to accounting manager, assistant controller, corporate controller and now to vice president and corporate controller,” company CEO Dustin Hillis said in the release. “Jackson will continue to serve as an excellent source of wisdom and expertise to our new business team as we continue to grow our family of companies over the next 30 years.”
