The Financial Advisor is responsible for business development as well as financial planning, investment planning, tax and charitable planning, estate planning, insurance planning, and cash flow planning.  In addition, this role must also provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers and always demonstrate the company values while supporting the mission.


  • Implement and execute business development strategies and initiatives to promote growth
  • Interact on the phone and by email with clients to handle basic inquires
  • Work with paraplanner to create meeting agendas, reports, data and research
  • Present and implement retirement income strategies.
  • Review tax returns
  • Identify tax loss harvesting opportunities
  • Present and implement charitable giving strategies
  • Assist clients with rollovers via joint calls
  • Oversee annual retirement contributions and required minimum distributions
  • Communicate directly with the CPA and estate planning partners
  • Communicate action items with Client Service Associates to ensure financial plan is implemented appropriately
  • Present analysis of financial situation using financial, tax, and other system solutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Sales or business development experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience in financial planning, wealth management, or related field
  • Series 7 and 66
  • CFP® Required to obtain post-hire within an agreed upon timeframe.
  • Experience using MoneyGuidePro or similar planning software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work in a traditional professional office setting or remote equivalent
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Advanced computer skills and ability to effectively operate computer equipment, software systems and databases
  • Work schedule may vary and is determined by project schedules
  • Ability to efficiently operate all job-related office equipment
  • Ability to communicate via telephone, computer and work in virtual teams
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Ability to travel using personal vehicle to other office locations as needed
  • The responsibilities may require occasional overnight travel
